I've been a technology enthusiast since high school days--over six decades. I began building Heath kits, and a decade later, I build my first pc, soldering the components myself, including the keyboard. I taught myself how to program in BASIC, Pascal, C, C++, C#, and javascript. In the 1980s I formalized my understanding of IT by earning a second undergraduate in computer science. All this while serving for 50 years in the Air Force. Twenty-three years as an Air Force pilot logging 5000 hours in half a dozen different planes. Then another 27 years as an English professor at the Air Force Academy, where I put my tech skills to work by initiating its digital humanities program. Now retired, I spend time every day learning all I can about artificial intelligence, applying extensively in my daily life and developing applications for its use.
